Rosé On The Rocks

A Celebration of Cornish Seafood, Sunshine & Rosé on The Idle Rocks Terrace.

Rosé on the Rocks returns this summer, bringing back long, unhurried Saturdays on Cornwall’s most iconic waterside terrace.

In partnership with Maison Mirabeau, the series captures the ease of coastal living — chilled rosé, sea‑fresh flavours, and the soft shimmer of St Mawes Harbour just beyond your glass.

All dining guests are welcomed with a complimentary glass of Mirabeau Rosé, setting the tone for an afternoon shaped by the tides.

Snacks & Terrace Sipping

Begin with relaxed terrace dining: crisp drinks, à la carte snacks, and the gentle buzz of the weekend unfolding around you. Expect bright, summery flavours, perhaps cured trout with citrus, warm pretzel bread with rich Devon butter, or a saffron arancini with truffle – with the selection evolving throughout the season as the market dictates.

Rosé naturally takes centre stage. Mirabeau’s pale, Provence‑style rosés are poured by the glass, bottle or magnum, perfect for long, sun‑soaked afternoons. Whether you begin with your complimentary welcome glass or settle into a chilled magnum on ice, the wines are chosen for their freshness, elegance and effortless drinkability beside the water.

Alongside Mirabeau, the full Idle Rocks drinks list is available throughout the afternoon — crisp whites for seafood, lighter reds for leisurely sipping, and a considered selection of cocktails for those who prefer something shaken, stirred or spritzed. It’s relaxed, refined terrace drinking with the harbour just beyond your glass.

The Seafood Bar

At the heart of Rosé on the Rocks is our live seafood bar, where the day’s catch takes centre stage. Guests choose their preferred portion of market‑priced fish or shellfish, then select from a set of signature sauces — from fragrant Singapore spice to roast seaweed butter, nduja with preserved lemon, classic thermidor, or brown butter with hazelnuts and chilli.

Each dish is prepared simply and seasonally, served alongside generous sharing salads and sides that capture the spirit of summer: buttery potatoes, ripe tomatoes with burrata and basil, bitter leaves, and Israeli couscous with a Lebanese‑style dressing.

A separate vegetarian menu is also available, priced à la carte.

Something Sweet

Desserts include our seasonal favourites, with the option of a playful knickerbocker glory — a nostalgic nod to the seaside.

Rosé on the Rocks runs every Saturday from 27th June – 29th August, offering a sun‑soaked, seafood‑led celebration of summer on the water’s edge.
