BOOKING AGREEMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Upon booking we request a deposit of 50% of your stay with us; this will secure your reservation. Should you need to cancel your reservation could you please email our reservations team at email@example.com or via the booking partner you booked with.
OUR FLEXIBLE APPROACH
If we are unable to accommodate your booking due to the Covid-19 restrictions imposed by the Government, your deposit is safe with us and we will be very happy to either reschedule your visit for later in the year or alternatively arrange a full refund.
Should we become aware of any changes to the current legislation or government guidelines that might affect your stay we will contact you.
100% refund if the booking is cancelled more than 2 weeks before the day of arrival. The whole deposit will be retained if the booking is cancelled within 2 weeks of arrival, but more than 48 hours prior. We regret that the full charge for the amount of the whole booking will be taken, should less than 48hrs notice be given for the cancellation. We will of course provide a refund for any nights we manage to re-sell. All cancellations must be confirmed via e-mail, after the initial phone conversation.
4 Nights or More
100% refund if the booking is cancelled more than 4 weeks before the day of arrival. The whole deposit will be retained if the booking is cancelled within 4 weeks of arrival, but more than 48 hours prior.

We will of course provide a refund for any nights we manage to re-sell.
For bookings of 5 rooms or more within the same party, the cancellation policy is extended to 60 days.
We do advise you to ensure that you have adequate travel insurance in place to cover any unforeseen eventualities.
During the peak season times we only accept two night stays at weekends and three nights over bank holiday weekends. We ask that one of these nights is on a Dinner, Bed & Breakfast basis.

Your room rate will be confirmed at the time of booking; we regret that we cannot change the rate or terms of your stay once a booking has been confirmed.
For all reservations, payment will be due on check-out by card. Unfortunately we do not accept cheques as payment.
VAT is included in all our prices at the current rate. If the rate of VAT rises after you have made your reservation we will notify you of any change in the room rate prior to arrival.
We offer complimentary parking for residents, and reception will assist you with this on arrival. As we have limited parking, should you have any guests joining you for dinner during your stay we may not be able to accommodate them within our car park. However our concierge will do his best and there is a public car park nearby.
At The Idle Rocks we have a couple of ground floor bedrooms in our adjoining annex, Carricknath, where a small well behaved dog is most welcome to stay with its owner. For your arrival, we’ll prepare your room with a dog bed and towel, a welcome Bonio, bowl for water and maps of local walks with information on dog friendly beaches. We make a one off charge of £30 for the full duration of your stay.
Unfortunately we do not allow dogs in any of the public areas of the hotel. However when you dine with us in our restaurant, your dog can be left in the small courtyard outside your room, where we have CCTV and our staff will keep an eye on him for you.
FOOD & DRINK
With the exception of baby foods, only food and drink that is purchased on the premises may be consumed on the premises.
ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
Your room will be ready from 3pm of the day of arrival. Should you arrive early you are more than welcome to use the hotel’s facilities and we will do our best to get your room ready as soon as possible. On your day of departure please feel free to use your room until 11am.
The hotel is entirely a no-smoking building, including the terrace.
Any damage caused by any individual using the facilities of The Idle Rocks will be charged to that individual in full.
All child reservations are on the same terms and conditions as adult reservations.
Children under 12 are not encouraged in the restaurant after 8.30pm but we do offer a high tea on our chefs table at 5.30pm or family bookings from 6.30pm.
A baby listening service is available which allows parents to monitor children in their rooms from the restaurant. While using this service parents or guardians are requested to monitor their children at all times.
Alternatively we are happy to provide parents with a local contact who can offer a babysitting service.
CHILDREN’S PLAY ROOM
The play room is open to all children staying at The Idle Rocks. Unfortunately we can’t guarantee supervision of this room, although it is covered by CC TV, thus responsibility must rest with parents.
