Arrival Day
Arrive at your leisure, and be welcomed to St Mawes with a glass of Champagne, before settling into the comfort of the hotel, with its spectacular views over the Fal estuary.
We’ll be showing “About Time” in the Hidden Cinema, a heartwarming story, set in Cornwall. Or feel free to explore the local area and enjoy the sea-air, before joining us for a 3-course dinner served in The Reef Knot Restaurant.
New Years Eve
On New Year’s Eve, start with a traditional Cornish breakfast, then enjoy an afternoon in the outdoors with a guided Winter walk along the coast and around the local area, followed by a short sightseeing boat trip on the River Fal, with warming hot chocolate & nibbles.
Once ashore, it’s time to freshen up ahead of the main evening celebrations.
The night will begin with a pre-dinner Champagne reception, complete with delicious canapés.
Guests will be seated at the banquet table for an exceptional New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner accompanied by specially selected wines, and musicians will provide the entertainment.
At 10.30, in true Hogmanay style, you will be led by our very own bagpiper, across the harbour to the St Mawes Hotel, where the celebrations will be in full swing.
Live music will bring the New Year in with a bang, of course, accompanied by a Champagne toast, before the celebrations continue into the early hours.
New Years Day
Wake up on New Year’s Day to the sound of the sea, before enjoying a sumptuous New Year’s Day breakfast with a Bloody Mary to settle a sore head!
After breakfast, join an exclusive trip to St Mawes Castle, where you’ll learn about the history of this wonderfully preserved Tudor Fort.
Late afternoon includes a wine tasting with nibbles, followed by a fascinating insight into our Cornish Culture by local historian & researcher Barry West.
Round up the day with a New Year’s Buffet, celebrating the best of Cornish produce.
