Fundraising Dinner: An Evening with Stanley Johnson

Join us for an exceptional fundraising dinner, with guest speaker Stanley Johnson on Thursday 19th March 2020.

Generously sponsored by private bank Arbuthnot Latham & organised by the John Casson Foundation this will be an unforgettable evening. Our Chefs will be preparing an exquisite four-course dinner, which will be served with accompanying wines and a Champagne reception.

We are delighted to welcome Cornwall’s very own Stanley Johnson as our guest speaker.
Born in Penzance, and father of Boris Johnson, Stanley has written numerous books and will have many intriguing stories to tell on the evening.

 

 

 

 

Head Chef Dorian Janmaat

CHEFS FOR THE EVENING

This evening will be a fantastic opportunity to sample the cuisine of our new Head Chef Dorian Janmaat.,as well as the other three guest chefs joining us for the evening.

For the past three years Dorian has been Head Chef at Raymond Blanc’s 2 Michelin-starred Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat‘Saisons in Oxfordshire, and he joins us after Christmas, in his new role at The Idle Rocks.

Chris Eden, formally Head Chef of nearby Michelin starred hotel Driftwood and now Executive Head Chef at the renowned Gidleigh Park, in Devon.

 

 

 

Mitch Tonks

 

 

 

Mitch Tonks, the celebrated seafood chef, writer & ambassador, who owns The Seahorse Seafood Restaurant & Bar in Dartmouth and Rockfish seafood restaurants will be joining us too. Expect some of the finest seafood dishes in the county

 

 

 

Guy Owen

 

And last, but certainly not least, Guy Owen, who after four years of dedicated service at The Idle Rocks will return for this special evening.

To attend this exclusive event, which includes a four-course dinner prepared by the exceptionally talented chefs, accompanying wines and a Champagne reception, we are asking for donations of £195 per person. If you are not a UK taxpayer or wish to donate corporately whereby the Gift Aid cannot be recovered, we ask for £245 per person.

Why not make it a complete evening and stay with us overnight?  We are offering a special Bed and Breakfast rate for this event starting from £235 per room (exclusive rate valid until 31st January).
