Thursday November 27th – An evening with Alan Murchison Head Chef of the Michelin starred L’Ortolan restaurant in Berkshire

Alan Murchison has been at the helm of the widely acclaimed L’Ortolan restaurant since 2004 where he’s retained his Michelin star status and a reputation that goes from strength to strength
Alan comes to The Idle Rocks to showcase his talents and take you on a fascinating journey through his own culinary experiences and the best of British cuisine.
With perfectly paired wines from Jake Osborne at Bibendum Wines this is certain to be a very memorable evening.

Thursday December 11th 2014 – A Celebration of Cornish fish with guest Rob Wing, from Wings of St Mawes
Ticket price £65 per head inclusive of wines
Rob is the well-known local fish merchant ‘Wings of St Mawes’. He will be directing the evening through a menu designed around his favourite Cornish catches. Talking about sustainable fishing methods and the merits of locally sourced produce – Rob is the perfect host for an evening celebrating Cornwall and all its local charm. Wines will be specially selected to complement each dish.
Thursday December 18th 2014 – Christmas Lunch Master Class with Mark Apsey

If the thought of preparing Christmas Lunch fills you with dread, we have a Master Class you should not miss out. Our very own Head Chef Mark Apsey will spend the morning with up to 12 guests demonstrating the Art of the perfect Christmas Lunch, from Turkey basting to Christmas pudding Mark will explain all the inside tips of the trade.
After all the hard work is complete everyone sits down at the chefs table to enjoy a relaxed lunch with a few glasses of festive cheer!
