Days out

Wild Swimming

If it’s a warm sunny day and you’re looking for an exciting way to spend the afternoon, what about wild swimming off a secluded cove? Local boat Paramour and her skipper Mark know every unspoilt cove and hidden creek in the area. If the water looks too cold… take Paramour up the Fal to the creekside Pandora Inn for a pub lunch and a hot toddy.

A walk to St Just Church

St Just Church is possibly one of the prettiest church’s in Cornwall, it can be reached via a wonderful coastal path that starts at St Mawes Castle. It’s a 50 minute level walk, but if you don’t fancy the walk back we can always arrange a boat to pick you up and ferry you back to the hotel.

Sea Fishing

What can be better than catching your own dinner, fishing off Falmouth bay you’re almost guaranteed a tight line. Local skipper James knows all the best fishing spots and can take up
to eight people on his boat Madeline Rose, whether it’s serious off shore sport, or just a few mackerel for supper. Rods and tuition are free. If you don’t fancy leaving shore, just take one of our crabbing pot’s and catch a crab from the quayside.
