BOOKING AGREEMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY
To confirm your reservation, we require a deposit of 50% of your total stay at the time of booking. Please note, for 1 night only stays 100% of your total stay is required at the time of booking.
Should you need to amend or cancel your reservation please contact our reservations team via email reservations@stmawes.com or via the booking partner you booked with.
1-3 nights
Should you cancel more than 2 weeks before the day of arrival, your deposit is fully refundable.
Should you cancel within 2 weeks of your arrival, regrettably your 50% deposit will be retained.
Should less than 48 hours notice be given for the cancellation, we regret that the full charge for the amount of your full stay will be charged.
We will of course provide a refund for any nights we manage to re-sell.
All cancellations must be confirmed via e-mail reservations@stmawes.com, after the initial phone conversation.
4 Nights or more
Should you cancel more than 4 weeks before the day of arrival, your deposit is fully refundable.
Should you cancel within 4 weeks of your arrival, your deposit will be retained for a future stay in the next 12 months.
Should less than 48 hours notice be given for the cancellation, we regret that the full charge for the amount of your full stay will be charged.
We will of course provide a refund for any nights we manage to re-sell.

5 rooms or more
For bookings of 5 rooms or more within the same party, the cancellation policy is extended to 2 months.
The remaining 50% of your stay must be prepaid 2 months prior to your arrival.
We do advise you to ensure that you have adequate travel insurance in place to cover any unforeseen eventualities.
If, due to circumstances beyond our control, we are forced to cancel or cut short your stay, we make every effort to find you alternative accommodation. We cannot be held responsible for any further costs incurred by you as a result.
FESTIVE PERIOD CANCELLATION POLICY
Christmas Escape (4-night package)
Arrival Saturday 23rd December, departing Wednesday 27th December 2023
At the time of booking, a 50% deposit is required to confirm your reservation.
Should you cancel more than 8 weeks before the day of arrival, your deposit is fully refundable, thereafter your deposit is none refundable and non-transferable
The remaining 50% of your stay must be prepaid 4 weeks prior to your arrival.
Should you cancel within 8 weeks of your planned arrival, we regret to inform you that the full amount of your stay will be retained.
Should we manage to resell the room, for the 4-night escape, we will of course provide a refund.

New Year Celebration (4-night package)
Arrival Saturday 30th December 2023, departing Wednesday 3rd January 2024
At the time of booking, a 50% deposit is required to confirm your reservation.
Should you cancel more than 4 weeks before the day of arrival, your deposit is fully refundable.
The remaining 50% of your stay must be prepaid 8 weeks prior to your arrival.
Should you cancel within 4 weeks of your planned arrival, we regret to inform you that the full amount of your stay will be retained.
Should we manage to resell the room, for the 4-night escape, we will of course provide a refund.

RESTAURANT RESERVATIONS POLICY

PAYMENT
For all reservations, payment will be due on check-out by card. Unfortunately, we do not accept cheques as payment.
VAT
VAT is included at the current rate but these prices are subject to change.
MAINTENANCE & IMPROVEMENTS
As the hotel is open all year round, you may find that there is necessary maintenance taking place during your visit. We will endeavour to keep any noise and inconvenience to a minimum.
CAR PARKING
We offer complimentary parking for The Idle Rocks hotel residents, on arrival please park outside the hotel for us to unload your luggage and provide you with directions for parking. As we have limited parking, should you have any guests joining you during your stay, sadly we are unable to accommodate them within our car park, however there is a public car park available nearby.
DOGS
At The Idle Rocks we have two ground-floor Harbour View bedrooms, where one small, well-behaved dog is most welcome to stay with its owner. For your arrival, we’ll prepare your room with a dog bed, a welcome treat and a bowl for water. There is a one-off charge of £30 for the full duration of your stay.
Regrettably dogs are not allowed within the main hotel building, including the terrace. However, they are more than welcome in the Lower Deck at our sister property, St Mawes Hotel.
FOOD & DRINK
With the exception of baby food, only food and drink that is purchased at the hotel may be consumed on the premises.
ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
Rooms are guaranteed from 3.00pm on the day of arrival and we kindly ask that you vacate your room by 11.00am on the day of departure.
SMOKING
The hotel is entirely a non-smoking building, including the terrace.
DAMAGE
Any damage caused by any individual using the facilities of The Idle Rocks will be charged to that individual in full.
CHILDREN
All children will be booked onto the same accommodation terms as their parents or guardians.
We not only accept children but welcome them to follow you on your culinary journey. Our ‘Little Rockers’ menu is filled with classic, simple but flavorful dishes to suit all.
At dinner, we ask that children vacate the restaurant by 7pm, therefore we offer earlier dining times to cater for them.
Please let us know at the time of booking if you are bringing children, so we can prepare the necessities.
CHILDREN’S PLAY ROOM
The play room is open to all children staying at The Idle Rocks. We cannot guarantee the supervision of this room, although it is covered by CCTV, responsibility must rest with parents.
BABYSITTING SERVICE
Our reception team can provide you with contact details of a local, recommended babysitter however the relationship is entirely between the babysitter and the parents and the hotel will not accept any responsibility within this arrangement.
