Friday Dinner and Movie Nights

Get together and choose two courses from our dinner menu, your table is booked at 6.30pm followed by the movie at 8pm. £29 per person

Live Arts Season (Encore)

We are delighted to announce that the St Mawes Hidden Cinema will be broadcasting live art performances direct from the world famous Royal Opera House and The National Theatre in London, as part of our new ‘Live Arts season. All the below are encore performance dates.

The Magic Flute: Friday 22nd September 7.15pm – SOLD OUT!
Julia Jones conducts the Royal Opera’s spellbinding production of Mozart’s The Magic Flute, with a wonderful cast including Roderick Williams as Papageno.

La Boheme: Friday 6th October 7.15pm
Puccini’s passionate opera is conducted by Antonio Pappano and stars a superb young cast including Nicole car, Michael Fabiano and Mariusz Kwiecien in a new production by Richard Jones

Hamlet: Friday 13th October 7pm start
Academy Award nominee Benedict Cumberbatch (BBC’s Sherlock, The Imitation Game) takes on the title role of Shakespeare’s great tragedy

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland: Friday 27th October 7.15pm
Follow Alice down the rabbit hole in Christopher Wheeldon’s exuberant ballet, inspired by Lewis Carroll’s much-loved book

Follies: Friday 17th November 7pm start
Stephen Sondheim’s legendary musical is staged for the first time at the National Theatre.

 

Autumn Movie Nights

Tuesday 19th – Hacksaw Ridge
The true story of Pfc. Desmond T. Doss (Andrew Garfield), who won the Congressional Medal of Honor despite refusing to bear arms during WWII on religious grounds.

Tuesday 26th & Friday 29th – Arrival
Linguistics professor Louise Banks (Amy Adams) leads an elite team of investigators when gigantic spaceships touch down in 12 locations around the world.

Tuesday 17th & Friday 20th – The Light Between Oceans
Tom maintains a lighthouse off the shore of Australia with his wife Isabel, a woman desperate for a baby. Her prayers are answered when an infant washes up on shore in a rowboat.

Tuesday 24th & Tuesday 31st – LOGAN
In the near future, a weary Logan (Hugh Jackman) cares for an ailing Professor X (Patrick Stewart) at a remote outpost on the Mexican border

 

Half Term Family Movies

Monday 23rd – Trolls
After the Bergen’s invade Troll Village, Poppy (Anna Kendrick), the happiest Troll ever born, and the overly-cautious, curmudgeonly Branch (Justin Timberlake) set off on a journey to rescue her friends.

Tuesday 24th – Moana
An adventurous teenager sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana meets the once-mighty demigod Maui, who guides her in her quest to become a master way-finder.

Wednesday 25th – Beauty & The Beast
Belle (Emma Watson), a bright, beautiful and independent young woman, is taken prisoner by a beast (Dan Stevens) in its castle.

Thursday 26th – The BFG
Ten-year-old Sophie is in for the adventure of a lifetime when she meets the Big Friendly Giant (Mark Rylance).

Friday 27th – Charlotte’s Web
With the birth of a new litter of 11 piglets, the farmer must eliminate one so the mother can feed them. The farmer gets his ax and selects the runt of the litter when he is stopped by his daughter, Fern (Dakota Fanning).

 

Sunday SCREAM!
Join us for the Rocky Horror Picture Show

In this cult classic, sweethearts Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon), stuck with a flat tire during a storm, discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry), a transvestite scientist.
